This week I was lucky enough to catch up with Alexx Andria author of The Bought by The Billionaire Brothers series. Check out my interview with her below!
Fiona Blake: What made you decide to take the plunge and start writing your first novel?
Alexx Andria: I wrote my first novel at 16 (a wretched, terrible mish-mash of goo) because I felt compelled to create something. That feeling has never faded. When I write, I breathe life into something that didn't exist before that moment. I love that feeling of creation.
Fiona: What writers inspire you?
Alexx: I love writers who take risks but still know how to engage their readers. I want to walk the line between losing myself between the pages for a satisfying read and leaving the book with a lingering need for more. A writer who can engage my mind in that way, is golden to me.
Fiona: How do you incorporate your life into your books?
Alexx: I think writers inadvertently put pieces of their real selves in their work without realizing it. I don't think I do it consciously but I'm sure it's there.
Fiona: What is your writing process? (i.e. How do you develop your ideas? What does your day-to-day schedule look like?)
Alexx: Chaotic. Panic-driven. I wish I could say I have a smooth process but I don't. But I've learned to trust my process, even if it isn't pretty.
Fiona: What is the best sentence you’ve ever published?
Alexx: Hitting the USA Today bestseller list.
Fiona: What exciting projects do you have in the works?
Alexx: Currently, I'm brainstorming my newest bad boy romance! IF you've got some ideas, send them my way! I'm open to suggestions!
